Diagnostic Evaluation
This comprehensive assessment is the first step for all new clients. It helps identify psychiatric and mental health concerns and involves discussing your symptoms, medications, and personal history to gain a thorough understanding of your needs. The goal is to provide an accurate diagnosis and make recommendations for a personalized treatment plan.
This evaluation can be done as a stand-alone service to obtain clarity about your mental health or as part of the intake process to become an ongoing client at Joyful Mind.
Medication Management
Medication management is a personalized service where your provider monitors and adjusts medications to optimize their effectiveness in treating your mental health conditions. Regular follow-up appointments are necessary to assess progress, manage side effects, and ensure that treatment helps you meet your goals. Clients with untreated, newly diagnosed conditions or those who are starting new medication will initially see the provider every 2-4 weeks, then less frequently as their condition improves.
Supportive Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy is a one-on-one experience focused on exploring thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a supportive and confidential setting. Through collaboration, clients gain insight, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals, finding healing and growth along the way.

Psychotherapy offers a dedicated space to understand patterns in your life and build resilience. This therapeutic journey can foster deeper self-awareness, empower healthier choices, and improve emotional well-being. Sessions are designed to adapt to each person’s evolving goals, helping them navigate life’s complexities and enhance their overall quality of life.
Neurodiversity Assessment
A Neurodiversity Assessment offers a thoughtful, compassionate approach to understanding your unique neurological profile. Designed for individuals who may experience the world a bit differently, this assessment uncovers insights into areas such as ADHD, autism, sensory processing, and executive functioning. With a focus on strengths and preferences, we create a detailed understanding of self that empowers you to navigate life with greater confidence and clarity. Whether you’re seeking academic or workplace accommodations, or just want to understand yourself more deeply, a Neurodiversity Assessment is a step towards embracing and celebrating your unique mind.
